ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world title challenger Jackie Buntan is temporarily stepping aside from 'the art of eight limbs' as she makes the transition from Muay Thai to kickboxing for her next fight.

Hard at work in the gym, training with former ONE women's atomweight kickboxing queen Janet Todd at Boxing Works, Buntan is getting ready for her second shot at ONE Championship gold when she faces 'C18' Anissa Meksen this weekend.

But how will she fare in a new sport? The Filipino-American star is confident she can pull off the impossible and defeat a legend to become a ONE world champion.

Speaking to Violent Money TV in a recent interview, Buntan talked about her transition to kickboxing and what it all boils down to.

The 27-year-old California native said:

"I think the challenge is just being able to execute what I have been working on for the past two months and execute it on fight night. The experience, obviously I’m not going in there naive. She [Anissa Meksen] is a force to be reckoned with, but as long as I’m able to stay calm and present and execute what I need to, then I’ll be good."

Needless to say, this is undoubtedly Buntan's biggest test to date, and she expects to pass with flying colors.
