From the moment that Jackie Buntan arrived in ONE Championship, it was clear that she was going to become a staple of the promotion's female striking-only divisions.
The American-Filipino contender had serious potential and an exciting fighting style to back it up.
One of the attributes that immediately separated Buntan from the rest of the pack was her punching power that fans have become used to seeing on display.
In particular, her knockout of Diandra Martin at ONE Fight Night 10 last year showcased her ability to put opponents away early in fights.

Back in 2021, Buntan made her debut in the promotion in a clash with Nat 'Wondergirl' Jaroonsak.
Though she won the fight via a unanimous decision, the new arrival was pursuing the finish but Nat was somehow able to stay on her feet.
Jackie Buntan reflected on her introduction to ONE Championship during a recent interview with The Casuals. She said that with the shots she landed on her debut opponent, she was surprised to see her make it the full three rounds:
"I was (surprised). She was on wobbly legs. I was trying to (finish her off) but she lasted all three rounds."

Even with an impressive showing on her debut against Nat Jaroonsak, no one could have predicted what Jackie Buntan would go on to accomplish in her last fight.
At ONE 169, she walked into the biggest challenge of her career to date as she faced off with Anissa Meksen for the inaugural ONE strawweight kickboxing world championship.
In her kickboxing debut, Buntan became a world champion, and once again, it was her hands that got the job done.
She was able to effortlessly transition her Muay Thai skillset into a new ruleset and looked completely at home in there with an incredibly experienced operator.
