The 27-year-old Boxing Works representative stated:

"Yeah, I think being on such a huge platform like ONE Championship, knowing like yeah it’s a sport. To be honest it’s entertainment, it’s an entertainment industry so you have that in the back of your head as an athlete."

Jackie Buntan says lifelong martial arts training gives her confidence boost against Anissa Meksen at ONE 169 on Prime Video

27-year-old California native Jackie Buntan may not have the edge over 'C18' Anissa Meksen in terms of overall professional experience when the two meet at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video.

But the talented Filipina-American has been practicing martial arts her entire life, which gives her the confidence she needs to hold her own against a legendary fighter.

Buntan said:

"You know, at first it was like, ‘Yeah she has a lot more experience than I do’. But I’ve been training for 16 years now. I don’t have as many fights as her, but I’ve been training every day for 16 years. So that’s where my confidence comes from."
