Jacob Smith is pulling out all the stops in training camp for Rodtang: “I’m just focused on beating him”

Third-ranked ONE Championship flyweight Muay Thai contender Jacob Smith of the United Kingdom is one hundred percent dialed in for his next fight and says he envisions nothing short of victory when he rematches former adversary 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a couple of weeks.

Smith says he has put 'pedal to the metal' in training camp, pulling out all the necessary stops to score the biggest win of his life.

Speaking to Cageside Press in a recent interview, Smith talked about his preparations for the rematch with 'The Iron Man'.

The 32-year-old Bad Company / Thaifist representative said:

"I train twice a day. Five days a week. One day a week for rest. I’ve said this before, I don’t really like to look at external factors like [how much of a legend he is]. I’m just focused on beating him."

Jacob Smith is set to face 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon for the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video, which broadcasts live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, Nov. 8.

The United Kingdom's Jacob Smith is looking to change his life for the better in search of a victory over ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video.

The 32-year-old told ONE Championship about the sheer magnitude of this showdown:

"The fight itself, to accomplish gaining the world title, is unbelievable. It could change my children’s lives. It’s what I wake up every day thinking about. But it doesn’t change how hard I train. I train as hard as I can no matter what’s in front of me."
