Jairzinho Rozenstruik had an incredible outing at UFC 282. 'Bigi Boy' took on Chris Daukaus in a heavyweight clash in the UFC 282 prelims.

Rozenstruik ran through his opponent and knocked him out in just 23 seconds of the first round. With the victory, the Surinamese fighter snapped his two-fight skid in the UFC.

During his appearance at the UFC 282 post-fight press conference, Rozenstruik asked the top heavyweights not to get complacent as he planned to take them on soon:

"I'll say, top five [heavyweights], don't get too comfortable, and as I say, I put a lot of work in what I do and like [how] the [past] few fights have been going, I'm back in the win column."

Out of the current top five UFC heavyweights, Rozenstruik has faced Ciryl Gane, Curtis Blaydes and heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. Unfortunately, 'Bigi Boy' came up short against all three of those opponents.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik faced off against Francis Ngannou at UFC 249 and suffered a devastating knockout loss in just 20 seconds of the first round. It was the first loss of the 34-year-old's MMA career.

Rozenstruik also suffered unanimous decision losses to Gane and Blaydes.

With his performance at UFC 282, 'Bigi Boy' has proved that he still has what it takes to compete in the UFC. But in order to beat someone from the top five, he would likely have to make massive adjustments to his fight game, which he didn't get to show in his 23-second knockout against Daukaus.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik weighs in on Chris Daukaus' future as a heavyweight

During his time at the UFC 282 post-fight press conference, Jairzinho Rozenstruik was asked whether, according to him, Chris Daukaus should move down to light heavyweight.

'Bigi Boy' opined that Daukaus was not short-sized for the heavyweight division. Rozenstruik also wished for Daukaus to emerge victorious in his next fight:

"I don't think he's [Chris Daukaus] small. He's fighting in the heavyweight division. He was 242 [pounds]. I don't say those things about [others]. We're all here for fights, want to win our fights. Doesn't matter how it goes, I want to win and other than that, I have nothing against him. I hope he wins the next fight."

Chris Daukaus is currently going through a rough patch in the UFC. The 33-year-old has lost his last three fights and all those losses have come via knockout.

So, Daukaus might need to make significant alterations to his fight game in order to return to winning ways.
