Jake Paul recently addressed the rumors circulating about a potential fight with Mike Perry and reaffirmed his dedication to his original goal of squaring off against Mike Tyson.

The anticipated bout between the YouTuber-turned-boxer and 'Iron Mike' was rescheduled from its initial date of July 20 to Nov. 15. The change came after the heavyweight legend experienced an ulcer flare-up during a recent flight.

According to a recent report from Happy Punch, 'The Problem Child' is now slated to face Perry on July 20. However, the report did not provide details regarding the nature of the competition or where the event will take place.

After the announcement, Paul enigmatically posted on X, "I smell victory," seemingly confirming the news. However, he later clarified his intentions by reaffirming his commitment to the rescheduled plan of fighting 'Iron Mike' at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Nov. 15:

"I AM FIGHTING MIKE TYSON ON NETFLIX, AND I WILL GET THE W."

Why did the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson matchup receive criticism?

The combat sports community has expressed reservations regarding the substantial 31-year age disparity between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, marking the largest age gap in professional boxing history.

Tyson's last professional bout was in June 2005, when he retired on his stool during a match against Kevin McBride. Despite this, 'Iron Mike' has maintained a rigorous training routine for numerous years. In November 2020, Tyson returned to the boxing ring for an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr., which ended in a draw.

Meanwhile, Paul is coming off a first-round TKO victory against Ryan Bourland in March. 'The Problem Child' has faced scrutiny for primarily competing against older or retired opponents, including Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, Ben Askren, and Nate Diaz.
