Boxing icon Mike Tyson's former sparring partner Joe Egan has shared his thoughts on the upcoming clash between 'Iron' and Jake Paul. Egan recently did an interview with talkSPORT where he discussed the fight which is set to take place in November.

Although the clash will be a professional bout, Egan believes that the contest might end up looking like a sparring session. He claimed that Tyson was pulling punches in his fight against Roy Jones Jr. and shared how Paul, who also competed on the same card, might have misjudged 'Iron's' power because of that fight.

"For me, it's gonna be a glorified sparring session. When Mike boxed Roy Jones Jr., hit Roy Jones Jr. with a body shot, sunk Roy Jones... Mike knew that he could hurt Roy Jones. Anybody that Mike hits is going to hurt, probably a knockout as well. But he carried Roy Jones, he showed that man the respect and carried him... Jake Paul boxed on the undercard and I think when he saw Mike pull his punches, they probably felt confident."

Tyson faced off against Jones Jr. in an eight-round exhibition bout in November 2020. The fight ended in a split draw.

On the same fight card, Paul went up against Nate Robinson in a cruiserweight clash. 'The Problem Child' made light work of his opponent and knocked him out in the second round of the fight.

Now, Tyson and Paul will meet on Nov. 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Streaming giant Netflix will telecast the event live to its viewers.
