Jake Paul recently expressed his thoughts on Nate Diaz's fraud lawsuit following Fanmio's refusal to pay the $10 million contract money. Paul made fun of Diaz and insisted that he ought to have given his $15 million MMA offer more serious thought.

It seems that Diaz is pursuing legal action, as he filed a lawsuit against Fanmio alleging unpaid wages of $9 million for his most recent boxing match versus Jorge Masvidal. The Stockton native is not happy because, although he followed through on his end of the bargain, he will not receive payment for what was agreed upon.

Diaz squared off against Masvidal in a boxing match on July 6 that was sponsored by Fanmio and drew a sell-out crowd at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Although ticket sales were successful, the promoters are unlikely to earn a return on their investment.

According to a report by TMZ Sports, Diaz is suing Fanmio and promoter Solomon Engel for breach of contract for the event. He promised to fight Masvidal for a $10 million payoff, both verbally and in writing:

''According to Diaz, Engel said he couldn't supply the funds because he didn't profit off the fight like he expected...The lawsuit also claims Engel told Diaz he couldn't pay him, despite verbal and written agreements, because his wife might divorce him over the financial loss.''[H/t: TMZ Sports]

Following the news, Paul took to X and mocked Diaz for dodging an offer of $15 million for an MMA fight in the PFL. He wrote:

''Guess that $15 million from PFL needs to be taken a little more seriously you dummy. Yesterday’s price is not today’s price. Oh and Masvidal you broke and can’t sell sh*t''

The two previously engaged in a boxing match in August 2023. Paul dominated his opponent for the majority of the fight and got his hand raised via a unanimous decision.

Why did Nate Diaz decline Jake Paul's offer for an MMA fight?

Before their 10-round boxing match last year, Nate Diaz responded to Jake Paul's offer for an MMA match. Paul stated that he made Diaz an offer of $10 million to compete against him in the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

In an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Diaz replied to Paul's offer by turning down the chance to compete in the PFL. Although he did not rule out an MMA fight, he insisted that it would not take place under the PFL's banner:

“I don’t fight for that organization. If we do something, we’re going to do something real. Co-promotion, if anything."
