There is no love lost between Jake Paul and Conor McGregor, with 'The Problem Child' recently sharing his thoughts on the Irishman's potentially being in attendance at his upcoming boxing match with BKFC star and ex-UFC welterweight Mike Perry. However, the YouTuber-turned- boxer seemed dismissive of the notion.

Paul's bout with Perry is set to take place on July 20, which was the original date for his prior boxing match with Mike Tyson. In a recent interview on The MMA Hour, Perry was asked whether McGregor could be in attendance for the fight due to his BKFC affiliation.

Paul, who sat pool-side, however, was quick to interject:

"He needs to attend rehab."

There have been longstanding rumors about McGregor having substance abuse issues, especially with alcohol. When Ariel Helwani asked 'The Problem Child' if he would be willing to invite McGregor to the fight, Paul entertained the thought.

"Look, we can get him a fourth or fifth-row ticket but he's kind of lost his celebrity and star power. I don't think people really care about him but I'm sure I could comp him a fourth or fifth row."

It was a damning statement from Paul, especially given how quickly UFC 303's tickets were selling when 'The Notorious' was still headlining the card. However, there is no disputing that the Irishman has declined in recent years, at least in terms of his in-cage performance, having not won a fight since 2020.

Jake Paul once chased a boxing match with Conor McGregor

Jake Paul built his career off the back of fighting smaller, over-the-hill MMA fighters with subpar striking skills. While he eventually proved himself against proper strikers in Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz, the former was well into his 40s while Diaz himself is nearly 40 years old and smaller.

However, the one fight 'The Problem Child' has always dreamed of was a boxing match with Conor McGregor, who frequently ignored his callouts and trash talk, much to Paul's frustration.

Despite his best efforts, he could never draw McGregor's attention. Even the trash talk between the pair has been fairly one-sided, with the Irishman usually dismissing anything Paul has to say before moving on to another topic.
