Jake Paul recently expressed his disinterest in facing Donald Cerrone in the square ring after the former UFC fighter indicated that he would be open to boxing the younger Paul sibling in the future.

Cerrone recently appeared on Brendan Schaub's Thiccc Boy Studio and stated that he respects Paul's hustle and believes that the 25-year-old is a legit boxer. While the retired MMA star refused to explicitly call Jake Paul to fight him, he made it very clear that the potential payday would be too good to refuse. However, it seems that Jake Paul isn't keen on sitting tight for a potential boxing match against Donald Cerrone either.

In a recent interview with The Schmo, 'The Problem Child' was informed about Cerrone's statements and asked about his thoughts on them. Paul replied by saying:

"I’m kind of tired of beating these old dudes up like that, you know what I’m saying, I’m just trying to get someone in there who is younger, but they’re all scared. They’re just trying to protect their record.”

Donald Cerrone compares Jake Paul to Conor McGregor as he calls out 'The Problem Child' for a boxing match

Donald Cerrone may have retired from MMA last year following a loss to Jim Miller at UFC 276, however, the 39-year-old is still one of the most recognizable figures in the UFC. 'Cowboy' recently expressed his interest in fighting Jake Paul in a boxing match and compared the rise of the 25-year-old to that of Conor McGregor.

In a recent interview with Brendan Schaub's Thiccc Boy Studio, the former UFC lightweight title challenger stated that he respects Paul's hustle and believes that the YouTuber-turned-boxer possesses real legit boxing skills. He stated:

"The Jake Paul phenomenon is kind of crazy, it's got everybody calling him out. It's kind of like the big Conor push... Everyone wants in, and I don't see why they wouldn't because that's a big money fight... Would I like to fight him? F**k, of course, how could I say no to f**king millions of dollars?"

The 25-year-old is coming off a unanimous decision victory over UFC veteran Anderson Silva. Paul is 6-0 since turning to professional boxing in 2020. He has since defeated several notable MMA stars like Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren.
