Former UFC champion Kamaru Usman recently discussed Jake Paul potentially fighting Alex Pereira in the boxing ring and weighed in on the ex-Disney star's chances against the Brazilian. Usman also explained why Paul's cold war with Dana White may have affected his ability to book a boxing match against Pereira.

Last weekend, Paul faced Mike Perry in a highly anticipated boxing match. The former Disney star put on a dominant performance and secured a sixth-round knockout over the BKFC star. In the aftermath, Paul called out the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion due to his incredible run in the promotion. Pereira notably expressed interest in such a matchup.

While Paul's challenge to Pereira got fans talking about a potential matchup, Usman recently explained why the YouTuber's strained relationship with the UFC CEO may have ruined his chances of securing the fight. It's no secret that Paul has repeatedly launched verbal shots at White and has consistently slammed the veteran promoter for not taking care of his fighters financially.

During an episode of the Pound 4 Pound podcast with Henry Cejudo, Usman referenced Paul burning bridges with White and said:

"No, it won't happen. Jake Paul, in the name of promoting nowadays, has done a lot of things and said a lot of things about Dana White that are Colby Covington-esque... In that case, you've put yourself off. I don't think Mr. Dana White ever wants to do business with you... I think there's a strong chance that Dana White will choose not to do business with him because Dana White does very good business by himself."

Michael Bisping on a potential Jake Paul vs. Alex Pereira boxing match

UFC icon Michael Bisping recently shared his thoughts on a potential Jake Paul vs. Alex Pereira boxing match. The former middleweight king opined that Paul was wasting his time calling out Pereira and that Dana White would never let it happen.

During an appearance on the TimboSugarShow with UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley and coach Tim Welch, Bisping opined that Paul knew "full-well" the Pereira fight would never materialize and said:

"He [Alex Pereira] is under contract. He’s not gonna go over and box Jake Paul. It’s never going to happen... I guess genius marketing on his behalf. I'm not a hater. Everyone thinks I’m a hater, I’m not. It’s just that he takes on these older MMA guys that are much, much smaller, and then he tries to dress himself up as a world beater."
