Jake Paul sparked a flurry of speculation with a cryptic tweet seemingly setting a condition for a potential showdown with boxing legend Canelo Alvarez. Following his highly-watched victory over Mike Tyson on Nov. 15, where over 108 million tuned in via Netflix, Paul’s star power has surged, leading to calls from prominent fighters for a fight.
In his post on X, Paul wrote:
“Only if it’s 12 rounds”

suggesting he might entertain fighting Alvarez, reversing his previous stance. The comment came shortly after Alvarez expressed openness to the matchup, igniting heated debates online.
Despite his apparent willingness, Paul had earlier dismissed the idea of giving Alvarez a “payday,” stating:
“Why the f**k would I give him the payday? When I beat him it would be the same bulls**t and lies…that Canelo was too small and Jake Paul paid him off”
Fans on social media were quick to weigh in. One criticized Paul’s antics, commenting:
“Stick to fighting gimmick fights.”
Another dismissed the hype, saying:
“scripted again?”
Others mocked his confidence, writing:
"Only need 1!"

Jake Paul responds to Gervonta Davis' callout
Jake Paul has fired back at Gervonta Davis after the latter called him out for a potential fight. Davis, who had criticized Paul's decision to face 58-year-old Mike Tyson, labeled him a "bozo" for failing to score a knockdown against his much older opponent.
In response, Paul mocked Davis during a press conference following his victory over Tyson. The feud escalated when Davis posted a callout for Paul on X (formerly Twitter), which Paul initially accepted.
However, in a recent post, Paul rejected the challenge, mocking Davis by calling him "Floyd’s little son" due to his connection to Mayweather Promotions. Paul continued the taunts, recalling Davis’s claim to not know who champions Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor were.
Paul further explained his decision not to fight Davis, suggesting:
"Floyd’s little son calling me out?… Come on little tank [Davis], you know better. I saw you pretend like you didn’t know who Amanda Serrano & Katie Taylor are… Do better & maybe 1 day I [will] give u a platform to shine again after that budget basic press conference you just had."
