Despite his apparent willingness, Paul had earlier dismissed the idea of giving Alvarez a “payday,” stating:

“Why the f**k would I give him the payday? When I beat him it would be the same bulls**t and lies…that Canelo was too small and Jake Paul paid him off”

Jake Paul responds to Gervonta Davis' callout

Jake Paul has fired back at Gervonta Davis after the latter called him out for a potential fight. Davis, who had criticized Paul's decision to face 58-year-old Mike Tyson, labeled him a "bozo" for failing to score a knockdown against his much older opponent.

In response, Paul mocked Davis during a press conference following his victory over Tyson. The feud escalated when Davis posted a callout for Paul on X (formerly Twitter), which Paul initially accepted.

However, in a recent post, Paul rejected the challenge, mocking Davis by calling him "Floyd’s little son" due to his connection to Mayweather Promotions. Paul continued the taunts, recalling Davis’s claim to not know who champions Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor were.

Paul further explained his decision not to fight Davis, suggesting:

"Floyd’s little son calling me out?… Come on little tank [Davis], you know better. I saw you pretend like you didn’t know who Amanda Serrano & Katie Taylor are… Do better & maybe 1 day I [will] give u a platform to shine again after that budget basic press conference you just had."
