Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are set to clash in the squared circle on Nov. 15 in an eight-round shootout at the AT&T Stadium in Texas. However, reports are swirling that ticket sales for the event have not reached the expected numbers, and a former UFC fighter has suggested a change of ruleset to help push sales up.
Brendan Schaub, a former UFC heavyweight, believes that if Paul vs. Tyson were to be changed from a boxing match to a bare-knuckle fight, it would attract far more viewership than the current standing.
'Big Brown' broke down the reasons why he believed the bout was reportedly underselling during a recent episode of The Schaub Show, saying this:
"They did it in too big of an arena, I think they overshot. The other thing is Mike having to pull out [of the first date] because of ulcers. That f**ked it all up. I don't get the upside."

He continued:
"Eddie Bravo had the best idea. You want to get people intrigued with this fight? Which they can't, they keep trying, they can't. Make it bare-knuckle. If Jake gets hit with a bare-knuckle from Mike Tyson this thing is over."

BKFC founder eager for Conor McGregor vs. Jake Paul in bare-knuckle
With Conor McGregor having become a co-owner of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships (BKFC) in April 2024, the promotion's founder has shared interest in having the Irishman compete against Jake Paul.
McGregor and Paul are two of the biggest names in combat sports, and a clash between the pair would likely produce a massive spectacle.
BKFC founder Dave Feldman was recently interviewed by Inside Fighting, and he discussed potential opponents should 'The Notorious' make his bare-knuckle debut:
"Jake Paul number one, absolutely. Probably Mike Perry, just because I think people would want to see that, number two. Eddie Alvarez, Chad Mendes, Jeremy Stephens, they all kind of tie for the third spot. So I'm not really going to rank them third, fourth or fifth. I'm gonna say it's probably that."
Feldman continued:
"Certainly Jake , just because of the eyeballs. The funny thing is, is Jake Paul wants that fight in bare-knuckle and Conor wants that fight in bare-knuckle. If that happened, I think it's probably the biggest fight in combat sports history."
