Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry: How much are the boxers making? Estimated purses reported from previous fights

Polarizing boxing and social media personality Jake Paul returns to the spotlight this Saturday, July 20, as he faces BKFC's 'King of Violence' champion, 'Platinum' Mike Perry. Paul, who is one of the highest-paid boxers today despite having less than 10 professional fights, is expected to reap dividends this weekend.

Since 2021, Paul's fight purse has been exponentially increasing with every fight. His last outing, a TKO win over Golden Gloves champion Ryan Bourland, saw 'The Problem Child' get paid approximately $5-7 million. With the star quality of Mike Perry, however, it's expected for the influencer-turned-boxer to get paid even more.

It's also worth noting that Paul's boxing promotion, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), will be promoting the fight alongside Eddie Hearn's DAZN. This means the American boxer might pocket way more than the projected purse. As of last year, Forbes estimated Paul's earnings at $34.3 million, based on his pursuits in and out of the ring.

As for Perry, the reigning 'King of Violence' reportedly earned $600,000 in his last outing at Knuckle Mania 4 last April. Paul's last opponent was projected to receive $2 million, which means Perry might receive a similar amount, making it the highest purse in his career.

Jake Paul sees "a lot of holes" in Mike Perry's game

In a recent face-to-face interview ahead of their bout this weekend, Jake Paul and Mike Perry got heated verbally. 'The Problem Child' explained how he intends to make it look easy against 'Platinum', citing the former UFC welterweight's lack of strong defensive game as his potential downfall.

Paul said:

"This guy has a lot of holes. [Perry] has good offense, that's why he's great at bare-knuckle. He's a great offensive fighter. When he goes all with the wild sh*t, like, those guys don't know how to get out of the way of it. They're amateurs...This is a different sport, this is a different ball game and the fact that he has his chin in the air and his defense sucks, he's gonna get exposed in less than six minutes."
