#1. Heavyweight: Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson
Much has been made about the 31-year age gap in the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson bout, and for good reason. Many are apprehensive about the 58-year-old stepping into the ring with a much younger foe, especially with all of the wear-and-tear Tyson carries from 20 years of professional fighting.
But what of the strategic and tactical dynamics of their fight? For all his talk about being a future world champion, Paul is no technical wizard. Instead, he is a powerful puncher with a good grasp of some fundamentals. He is a good jab that he uses as a measuring tool for his money punch, the overhand right.
If he can land his jab, he can land his right hand. He also steps in deep with his jab, extending his stance as much as possible to add a tremendous amount of weight behind his punches. He also has a sneaky check hook for anyone who tries to work their way inside, which is what Tyson will look to do.
Tyson is a genius when it comes to 'The Sweet Science.' In his prime, he was a brutally powerful combination puncher who used quick head movement to slip on the inside of his taller foe's jabs and detonate massive combinations. He is also a gifted body puncher, which Paul will have to be very wary of.
A younger Tyson would step on Paul's shadow, cut off his angles of escape, and hand him a lopsided beating. But Tyson is much older and his health is a concern. He may very well be too old to beat even Paul.
