Jake Peacock is heading into ONE 169 with the single minded focus of business as usual. The English-born Canadian has already got the jitters of a ONE Championship debut done and dusted following his first win in the promotion back in April.

In his promotional bow earlier this year, he recorded a unanimous decision victory over Kohei Shinjo at ONE Friday Fights 58. Now, he's back in action on Nov. 8 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where ONE Championship is set to deliver one of the biggest events of the year.

In his second outing, Peacock is looking to keep his momentum pushing forward by securing a stoppage over his opponent Shinji Suzuki. The Japanese veteran produced a win last time out at ONE 166 to rebound from a stoppage loss in his debut against Suablack Tor Pran49.

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda MMA ahead of the fight, Peacock spoke about what he visualizes for his return to Lumpinee Stadium:

"I'm gonna go out there, knock him out in two rounds. I want to make a statement. From there, we'd move on to the next one."

Jake Peacock isn't short on confidence

It was clear from his ONE Championship debut earlier this year that Jake Peacock had arrived in the promotion with a point to prove. The 31-year old is ready to show that he can compete with the best strikers in the world and for him, this bout with Suzuki is just one more step towards realizing that goal.

He refuses to be denied at this stage and that drive makes him a dangerous opponent for anyone in the world. If he's able to do what he says against Suzuki, it won't be long before he's climbing the ranks in the bantamweight Muay Thai division which is home to some of the very best strikers in the world.
