Jamahal Hill is on cloud nine after recently being crowned the undisputed UFC light heavyweight champion at UFC 283. The American accomplished the feat in just eight fights with the organization and became the first fighter recruited from Dana White's Contender Series to win a championship title in the UFC.
Hill appears to be a staunch admirer of polarizing influencer Andrew Tate, based on the fact that he posted Tate's video depicting the truth of a modern man with the caption "Top G don't miss cash." Tate is currently being held in Romania as part of an investigation into human trafficking and rape.
Jamahal Hill addressed the notion that he's an ardent Tate supporter in a recent exclusive interview with James Lynch of Sportskeeda MMA. Hill claimed that he is not surprised by people's attempts to tarnish his reputation now that he is a champion:

"That's kind of like a common occurrence.... They just say that you're a fan because you see a clip and somebody said something and I'm like, 'This makes a lot of sense.' Maybe it's a message that people can't hear. They just take things and go completely far however they want to witg it."
Hill added:
"People understand what makes people react or triggers people. People don't actually look for facts. They just want to attach something that's triggering to your name to trigger people against you."

Jamahal Hill responds to Ariel Helwani gaslighting him by bringing up the Dana White wife-slap incident
Following his emphatic title victory against Glover Teixeira at UFC 283, Jamahal Hill spoke to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. 'Sweet Dreams' questioned Helwani for propagating the narrative that Jiri Prochazka is still the best light heavyweight despite Hill's victory.
Helwani repeatedly brought up the fact that Jamaal Hill defended UFC President Dana White for slapping his wife on New Year's Eve during their interview. White's retaliation to his wife slapping him first was the biggest story in MMA at the start of the year.
'Sweet Dreams' spoke out in response to Helwani's attempts to bring up Hill's statements defending the UFC president in the aforementioned exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA. He stated:
"It was random as hell. He's found some way to pull my name in relevancy with that situation because he's got a hard on to make Dana look bad. A lot of the sh*t makes sense now why he wouldn't want to give me my credit."
