Jamahal Hill recently addressed his run-in with Alex Pereira at the UFC PI and explained what went down when the two rivals came face-to-face during a training session. Hill's statements didn't go down well with fans, who went in on 'Sweet Dreams' on social media.
For context, Hill and Pereira ran into each other at the UFC PI and nearly threw hands after a tense exchange. The Brazilian notably beat Hill via first-round knockout at UFC 300 in April. Hill has called for a rematch since and has also fired shots at 'Poatan' on social media.
In a recent YouTube video, re-shared by @ChampRDS on X, Hill addressed their brief fracas and explained what happened when he confronted his rival. He said:

I was at the PI earlier, and Alex was there. I just finished working out, he was working out, and I went to go up and have a conversation... Initially, when I went up to him, it was smooth... And in the exchange, he said something to his translator, and his translator said, ‘He said you’re still sleeping, woke up and s***!’. I’m wide awake now! You can get put to sleep for real!"
Hill continued:
"Then it kind of went to a fake a**, ‘Yeah, come get the gloves and go in the cage... When I’m out in a situation like that, we could throw hands right now."
Fans soon flocked to the post's comments section to express their thoughts on Hill's story, with many mocking the former 205-pound champion.
On fan accused Hill of living in fantasy and wrote:
"Dude lives in a dream land. He looked scared in the video."
Another fan wrote:
"I’m legitimately confused as to why Jamahal keeps talking about Alex like he ain’t get slept??? Do he know he lost the fight?"

Jamahal Hill shares another intriguing theory on Alex Pereira loss at UFC 300
Jamahal Hill recently recalled losing to Alex Pereira at UFC 300 and shared another explanation for the loss. During their fight, Pereira brushed off a cup shot and asked the referee to refrain from calling for a break seconds before landing a left hook on Hill that dropped the American immediately. 'Poatan' then finished him with a flurry of hard shots.
Looking back at the fight, Hill believes Pereira advanced during a timeout, and everything happened too fast for him to process. In a recent X post, he wrote:
"Herb stepped behind me and said continue blocking my left side! This all happened in 4 seconds so to say that didn't play a factor is retarded!! I accept I should've been more on point and not shown sportsmanship when I wasn't given any, it was dumb on my part, but you learn."
