Jamahal Hill drew a comparison between himself and Dustin Poirier in terms of how each was treated after their respective defeats.
Islam Makhachev finished Poirier by submission to retain his lightweight championship at UFC 302. 'The Diamond' came into the Makhachev fight stating that he was looking to knock out the Dagestan native and Hill feels like how the MMA world has received Poirier has been different from his own treatment.
Meanwhile, Jamahal Hill stated that he would KO Alex Pereira at UFC 300, only to be knocked out by 'Poatan' on April 13 during their matchup. The former UFC light heavyweight champion has claimed he has been receiving a lot of flack from trolls after his loss.
In an exchange in the comment section of a recent Instagram post, Jamahal Hill touched on this whilst interacting with an MMA fan.

"I think he was looking for a highlight reel. He didn't mean to disrespect. If anything, you kinda trash talked him pre-fight."
Via his Instagram account @sweet_dreams_jhill, Hill responded to the comment by stating:
"I said I would win the fight like everybody does!! Dustin told Islam he would KO him was that trash talk too cuz nobody is mad about that!"

Jamahal Hill and his response to the UFC 300 loss
Jamahal Hill has his next fight lined up for UFC 303 against Carlos Ulberg on June 29. But it seems like his April 13 setback at UFC 300 in the bid to become a two-time champ at 205 pounds is still weighing heavily on Hill's mind.
The 33-year-old took to his personal Instagram recently to sound off on Alex Pereira as well as the mentor of 'Poatan', Glover Teixeira, who Hill beat for the UFC belt.
In the referenced IG post from a couple of days ago, Jamahal Hill wrote:
"Now I haven't really spoke on this but I went to Brazil and DOGG WALKED your guy in one of the most one sided a**whooping[s] in championship history and after showed nothing but respect and paid homage!! I've never celebrated over an opponent I beat and even called out my fans for disrespecting Johnny Walker after I slept him!! "
"But because I showed competitive fire and was excited to be back after an injury that could of ended my career y'all think this was funny or cool!! @alexpoatanpereira you really setup a punch you couldn't get to without a weird confusing moment and did some weak s***."
"But it['s] ok because you will fight me again and my eyes won't leave you until [you're] as stiff as Izzy left you in Miami!!!"
The Illinois native then got a response from the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion, as Pereira stated:
"You reap what you sow, chama"
