Jamahal Hill has carried the sting of his knockout loss to Alex Pereira with resolve, making it clear that seeking redemption and recapturing the throne remains his priority. Pereira knocked out Hill in the first round of their contest at UFC 300 after a brief pause in action due to a low blow to secure the first defense of his 205-pound title. However, Hill’s recent reaction to a fan clip of the knockout seemingly exemplifies his defiance and determination to bounce back stronger.

The animosity between the two fighters extended beyond the octagon when they clashed at the UFC Performance Institute. Hill confronted Pereira, expressing his desire for a rematch. The encounter turned heated, with verbal exchanges escalating into challenges for an immediate fight. Despite the tension, Hill maintained his composure, emphasizing that their next meeting should be in the cage, where stakes and paydays are higher.

Fans have doubled down on their attacks against Hill after the confrontation with Pereira at UFC PI. Hill reacted to a fan post on X labeled "Just to piss Jamahal off" with a quick four-word rebuttal and wrote:

"That all you got?"

Colby Covington claims Alex Pereira can knockout Jon Jones

Jon Jones has been eyeing a legacy fight against Alex Pereira, even though Tom Aspinall has emerged as a strong contender in the heavyweight division. Colby Covington recently weighed in on a potential clash between Jones and Pereira, claiming that the Brazilian's lethal striking makes him a legitimate threat to 'Bones'.

Covington, who trained with Pereira years ago, respects his evolution from a kickboxing champion to an MMA powerhouse. He asserted that Pereira could land a knockout with his devastating left hook against Jones. Speaking about the matchup in a recent interview with Submission Radio, Covington said:

"Oh for sure! [Pereira] could definitely catch him [Jones]. I mean, no doubt about it. Jon’s going to shoot for those legs. He’s not going to want to get cracked by Alex Pereira. That left hook and those kicks are lethal. So, I definitely think he can knock out Jon with a nice little left hook."
