Ian Machado Garry will face Shavkat Rakhmonov in the co-main event at UFC 310 on Dec. 7, 2024. The Irish combatant has spent the last few months preparing for this bout and is also spotted having fun with his family.

In a recent video posted to Garry's YouTube account, 'The Future' was seen humorously sparring with his son. Snippets from the same video were shared by @espnmma on Instagram, in which Garry's son was spotted mimicking Max Hollway's point-down-to-the-canvas move adorably.

In the last seconds of the final round at UFC 300, Holloway successfully knocked out Justin Gaethje after pointing to the middle of the canvas.

At UFC 308, Ilia Topuria pointed to the center of the octagon in a similar fashion, which 'Blessed' did not accept. However, Topuria successfully won the bout via KO/TKO in the third round and also became the first fighter to knock out Holloway.

Ian Machado Garry wants to prove himself against Shavkat Rakhmonov

As UFC 310 draws closer, the two unbeaten welterweights, Ian Machado Garry and Shavkat Rakhmonov appear poised to become the No. 1 contender, who will fight Belal Muhammad next for the belt in 2025.

Muhammad was originally scheduled to fight Rakhmonov, however, he had to pull out because of a bone infection. The UFC then revealed that 'The Future' would be taking on 'Nomad.'

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, the Irish fighter discussed his impending fight and how he can "operate best in a short period of time."

"New opponent, new date—everything flipped on its head. expressing excitement about the challenge ahead. That to me is exciting. I operate best in a short period of time. The opponent change and the date change changes a lot. I just love to fight, and this is an opportunity to go out there and prove that I am better than everyone believes and knows I am.”
