Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill is not the kind to back down from a fight - even if it's a verbal battle with random fans. The MMA community has mixed feelings about 'Sweet Dreams' campaigning for a rematch with his division's reigning champion, Alex Pereira.
In Hill's case, only a few fans give him any chances against Poatan, especially after their previous fight.
One good example is a fan named @vp_vanvleet on Instagram, who commented on this post by Jamahal Hill:

@vp_vanvleet went to the comments section in response to Hill's caption, which had something to do with the name Intuit Dome. Hill snapped back and said he didn't need correcting. After that, another Instagram user named @jporter03 replied with a scathing statement, saying:
"Nah you slow as hell after poatan made yo brain go to Disney land. #NoChin"
Not to be out-trashed-talked, Jamahal Hill took the gloves off, saying:
"@jporter03 you the type that can’t afford to buy his kid anything for Christmas because you on my sack instead of on your grind!!!#deadbeat"
@jporter03 reminded 'Sweet Dreams' that he talks too much for someone who got knocked out in his last fight. He also wrote about Pereira being "the father you never had".
Here's the exchange:
Jamahal Hill and Alex Pereira nearly came into blows at the UFC Performance Institute
Jamahal Hill doesn't just pick fights online or inside the octagon. For instance, Hill visited the UFC Performance Institute and confronted Alex Pereira while the champion was practicing.
Months of online back-and-forth have led to the two throwing obscenities at each other as they appeared ready to go, especially since Pereira threw a pair of gloves at Hill.
Hill didn't get to pick up the gloves as Pereira's coach, Plinio Cruz, separated them. Hill is scheduled to face Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311 early next year. If he gets past the former world champion, he'll have a better argument at re-matching 'Poatan' for the belt.
Here's a video of the near-altercation between Hill and Pereira:
