Jamahal Hill recently sounded off after receiving plenty of criticism from fans ahead of his bout against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311. He noted that jealousy is one of the main reasons why they have been dismissing his chances against Prochazka and isn't going to lose focus on his bout.

The former light heavyweight champion last fought at UFC 300, where he suffered a knockout loss to reigning champion Alex Pereira. Despite the loss, 'Sweet Dreams' is still among the top 205-pounders in the promotion, and an impressive win over Prochazka could get his name back in the mix for a title shot.

During his pre-fight media availability ahead of UFC 311, the former light heavyweight champion clapped back and noted that he isn't bothered too much by fan criticism:

"I understand, it's hard to watch other people that, maybe, you wish that you could do or maybe that you would want to do, and maybe you don't have the courage to do...So I just don't really focus on that...The guys that are actually in here, that take the same risk...and they respect it and they understand what I'm putting into this. That means a lot more than any weirdo sitting in his mom's basement talking with Cheeto dust and sh*t."

During the aforementioned media availability, Hill cited the updated UFC rankings and mentioned that he believes an impressive win over No. 2-ranked Prochazka should be enough to earn a title shot:

"Yeah, 100%, I feel like a win here, especially a dominant and impressive win here, next fight is title. Next fight is championship. I don't see why it wouldn't be...I'm fighting number two in the world, I don't see me going backwards from that."
