Jamahal Hill recently issued a strong warning to Alex Pereira after the latter took a dig at him following his successful title defense at UFC 307. The two fighters have a great deal of hostility toward one another, which dates back to the events leading up to their title match at UFC 300.

Pereira took on No. 8-ranked Khalil Rountree Jr. this past Saturday in the main event of UFC 307, which marked the reigning champion's third title defense in a span of a year.

Hill marked his attendance at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and witnessed Pereira successfully defending his title via fourth-round TKO. After that, as the camera panned at him, the former light heavyweight champion was spotted yawning.

During the UFC 307 post-fight press conference, Pereira was questioned about Hill's antics. The 37-year-old took a hilarious jab at 'Sweet Dreams', citing their previous encounter in response:

''Maybe he just woke up from UFC 300.''

That didn't sit well with Hill, who clapped back at Pereira in an Instagram comment, suggesting a potential rematch between the two, writing:

''You said that!!! But you will see me soon and we will see when you wake up!!!''

Following Hill's recovery from an Achilles tendon injury, which he suffered last summer while playing basketball, the American challenged Pereira in order to reclaim his light heavyweight title at UFC 300. However, that didn't end well for Hill, as he suffered a brutal first-round knockout loss.

Hill was then scheduled to face Rountree Jr. at UFC 303, however, 'The War Horse' was removed from the fight card after testing positive for a banned substance. The 33-year-old was hoping to get back in the title contention with a potential win over new opponent Carlos Ulberg. But, he was forced to withdraw from the bout after suffering a knee injury.

When Jamahal Hill expressed his disappointment over Alex Pereira vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. matchup

Jamahal Hill was among the many who weren't happy with the UFC's decision to pit Khalil Rountree Jr. against Pereira.

Hill took to X and questioned the decision, particularly with Rountree's No. 8 ranking and their scheduled bout getting canceled.

"Can't believe what I just saw announced! So a guy pulls out of a contender fight because of a failed drug test for a banned substance and gets rewarded with a title shot?! This is terrible for the sport and makes the rankings completely pointless!"
