'JT' Janet Todd currently holds the ONE atomweight kickboxing & interim atomweight Muay Thai World Championships. The US-born athlete is hoping to use her platform to uplift women in combat sports all around the globe.
Todd had broken through into a combat sports world that was hardly open to women when she began. Major Muay Thai stadiums only began promoting female fights as late as 2021. ONE Championship was the first major organization to host female kickboxing and Muay Thai fights, in 2019. 'JT' now wants to open the door to more women in kickboxing and Muay Thai.
In an interview with ONE Championship, she explained:
"I hope people can see what I do and say, ‘Yeah, I can do that.’ Or even say, ‘Yeah, I could do that better. I could be the next champion and help the sport grow.’"

"ONE Championship is a great platform, but I hope the sport continues to grow through some of these major promotions like ONE Championship. And, yeah, I hope people get inspired to compete. If I can do it, you can do it."
