Janet Todd is excited to finally step back inside the Circle and do what she does best at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video this Friday.
Todd will look to unify the atomweight Muay Thai world championships when she puts her interim world title on the line against returning world champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.
In Rodrigues’ three-year absence, Todd claimed the interim world title with a unanimous decision win over Spain’s Lara Fernandez last July to achieve two-sport world champion status.
Having originally been scheduled to face Rodrigues in December last year, the fight is finally here and JT can’t wait to put on a show for the fans.

In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post on YouTube, Todd spoke about how she manages to stay positive in the build-up to a fight before letting it all go inside the Circle:
“I’m violent in the ring but I’m happy outside, right? I don’t know. I’m always pumped up for fight day. It’s what I trained so hard for, especially for this unification. I lost that belt to Stamp [Fairtex] back in 2019 and I’ve been clawing my way back ever since. It’s finally my time and I think just the thought of that makes me excited. I wouldn't be here if I wasn’t [up for this].”

WATCH: Janet Todd spars with Jackie Buntan in preparation for next world title bout
Ahead of her huge unification fight with Allycia Hellen Rodrigues at ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24, Janet Todd was seen in some rare training footage.
JT has been preparing for her fight alongside her long-time training partner and friend, MMA atomweight Muay Thai contender Jackie Buntan. Due to Todd not using social media, it’s rare that you get to see footage of her preparing for her fights.
In the lead-up to ONE Fight Night 8, Jackie Buntan made sure to change this, posting a clip of JT drilling Muay Thai kicks with her.
On Instagram, Buntan posted the clip alongside the caption:
“Kick, kick, kick 🔁”

Todd has had to wait a long time for her chance to unify the atomweight Muay Thai world championships. She was set for a world title unification match Rodrigues at ONE on Prime Video 5 but the fight was canceled due to Todd testing positive for COVID-19.
Now all fit and ready to compete, Todd will look to claim the status of a two-sport world champion by adding the undisputed atomweight Muay Thai belt to her shoulder right next to her kickboxing title.
ONE Fight Night 8 is live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium on March 24. The entire event will be broadcasted live and for free via Prime Video for North American viewers.
