Constantly traveling long haul to fight in Asia, American striker Janet Todd has learned to adapt to some of its downsides, including jet lag.

The concurrent ONE atomweight kickboxing and interim atomweight Muay Thai world champion said that it took her a while to get used to the effects of long travel, but now she's fine with it.

In an interview with SCMP MMA, Janet Todd shared the route she takes every time she competes in ONE Championship as well as some tips on how to avoid jet lag. “JT” said:

“It’s just one layover. We fly to San Francisco, then it’s a straight flight from San Francisco to Singapore, but it’s a long one.”

She added:

“Make sure you stay hydrated. Don’t eat the airplane food and bring your own food. Find ways to move around.”

Janet Todd has once again made the long journey for her unification bout against reigning ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video on Mar. 24 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. She's looking to be hailed as the undisputed atomweight Muay Thai queen and become a full-fledged two-sport ONE world champion.

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, meanwhile, is making her first world title defense since becoming world champion nearly three years ago. She took a break after ascending to the throne, as she gave birth and took care of her son.

All ONE Fight Night events are broadcast live and for free to North American fans with an active Prime Video subscription.

Janet Todd recalls botched first booking with Allycia Hellen Rodrigues

The unification bout between interim ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion Janet Todd and reigning world titleholder Allycia Hellen Rodrigues was originally slated to happen late last year until the former was hit by COVID-19.

It was something that “JT” said took her time to get to terms with, as it came unexpectedly and laid to waste the preparation she had put into the fight. Janet Todd told ONE Championship:

“I remember bawling my eyes out. And I was just in shock. I didn't believe it. Because the last time I had COVID, I had the body pains fever, and I didn't have any of that. It was just like a stuffy nose, which I thought were allergies, because we were staying at a casino where there's cigarette smoke that I'm not used to.”

Now COVID-free and in tip-top shape, Janet Todd is all set for her rescheduled showdown with Allycia Hellen Rodrigues at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video on Mar. 24 in Singapore.

A win over the Brazilian striker will make her a full-fledged two-sport world champion, joining an elite club that has lightweight and welterweight world champion Christian Lee, and lightweight Muay Thai and kickboxing king Regian Eersel.
