Janibek Alimkhanuly and Andrei Mikhailovich are all set to make their much-awaited returns. The two undefeated fighters will face off in a highly-anticipated showdown with Alimkhanuly's WBO and IBF middleweight (160-pound) titles on the line. Their match will serve as the main event of an exciting fight card at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on July 13, 2024.

Alimkhanuly is coming off a sixth-round TKO victory against Vincenzo Gualtieri in Oct. 2023. 'Qazaq Style' thereby successfully defended his WBO middleweight championship and captured Gualtieri's IBF middleweight championship.

Meanwhile, Mikhailovich's most recent fight witnessed him secure a fifth-round TKO win over Edisson Saltarin in April 2023. The Russia-born New Zealand combatant defended the IBF Pan-Pacific championship and WBO Global middleweight championship with the victory.

In the context of professional boxing's current landscape, neither Janibek Alimkhanuly nor Andrei Mikhailovich have broken through as a major star/box office draw as of yet. Ergo, the consensus is that their payouts would probably be significantly lower than some of the sport's superstars such as Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia, and others.

Additionally, while their previous payouts haven't been officially disclosed, the belief is that both pugilists are likely to secure lucrative paydays for their upcoming fight.

As reported by Sporty Salaries, the guaranteed purse for Alimkhanuly is $350,000, and that of Mikhailovich is $200,000, in their upcoming fight. In addition, the two boxers could take home promotional bonuses, sponsorship pay, and other perks that most fighters generally receive.

One ought to note that these figures haven't been officially confirmed by Alimkhanuly's promoter (Top Rank) or Mikhailovich's promoter (No Limit Boxing).

Janibek Alimkhanuly on fighting Andrei Mikhailovich, quest for undisputed middleweight championship

Presently, Cuban-American boxing stalwart Erislandy Lara holds the WBA middleweight championship, while the Dominican Republic's Carlos Adames has the WBC middleweight championship.

As reported by Top Rank, Janibek Alimkhanuly suggested that while the other middleweight titleholders were evading a fight against him, Andrei Mikhailovich was willing to do battle with him. The 31-year-old champion seemingly gave props to the 26-year-old challenger for the same.

Moreover, 'Qazaq Style' implied that he aims to capture the other two of the big four (WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF) titles and become the undisputed middleweight champion. Alimkhanuly stated:

"I will show the world 'Qazaq Style' again. The road to undisputed continues, and Mikhailovich is in my way."

On the other hand, Mikhailovich, too, appeared to put forth a similar statement. He highlighted that Alimkhanuly is simply another fighter who's a roadblock he has to overcome en route to boxing glory. Mikhailovich underscored that he lives a disciplined life and possesses a warrior's mindset, alluding to his confidence ahead of the high-stakes clash.
