The MMA world was far from happy when all three judges ruled the UFC 282 contest between Jared 'Flash' Gordon and Paddy Pimblett a 29-28 in favor of the Englishman. Many fans and pundits saw it as a blatant robbery against Gordon.
Apparently, Joe Rogan was also convinced that 'Flash' had done enough to get his hand raised against Paddy Pimblett at UFC 282 before the result was announced. In a recent appearance on the Michael Bisping podcast, Gordon revealed that the UFC commentator opined that "he had won" before the scorecards were read out:
"When the fight was over, I'm like alright I did enough. [Joe] Rogan was like, yeah, you got this, you got this... I was like Joe is saying it, I guess I won."
Michael Bisping chimed in, saying that in most people's eyes 'Flash' was the victor against Pimblett.

Although 'The Baddy' slightly edged out Gordon in terms of significant strikes landed, 'Flash' dominated the scouser in grappling scenarios, totaling a monstrous 6 minutes and 28 seconds of control time. The American also had the upper hand in terms of takedowns, completing 3 of a total of 6 attempts as opposed to his opponent's zero successful takedowns.

When Paddy Pimblett told Joe Rogan his fight with Jared Gordon was not close
During his post-fight octagon interview with Joe Rogan, Paddy Pimblett was quick to correct the UFC commentator when he suggested that his fight with Jared Gordon was close.
The Englishman stated that he had clearly won the first two rounds and had just coasted in third by not taking unnecessary risks to ensure his victory:
"No, it wasn't, that wasn't close. He just controlled me in a fit... I won the first two rounds and then coasted in the third. I knew I was two rounds up so I went and didn't want to do nothing dangerous and risk losing the fight. I knew for a fact that I won the first two rounds pretty easily."
