The Jaron Ennis vs. Karen Chukhadzhian purses and payouts are topics of interest heading into the pair's Nov. 9 meeting. As reported by The Ring, one of the oldest and most respected entities in boxing, both men stand to pocket from a strongly-negotiated deal.
Matchroom Boxing, which promotes and represents Ennis, secured a 65-35% split with P2M-Box Promotion, Chukhadzhian's promoter. As per the agreement, Ennis will earn a reported $1,300,034.10, while Chukhadzhian will earn $700,018.58. This, however, was not the original intended split.
The Ring reports that a prior ruling initially had Matchroom Boxing pursue a 90-10% split. Fortunately for Chukhadzhian, the IBF voted for a 65-35% split instead, which is more in line with traditional splits between champions and their mandatory challengers.

As far as the matchup is concerned, Ennis will look to score the third consecutive defense of his IBF welterweight title. Meanwhile, Chukhadzhian, the mandatory challenger who previously held the IBF Continental welterweight strap, is determined to avenge his unanimous decision loss to 'Boots.'
The two men will head into their bout with impressive records. Ennis is undefeated at 32-0 (1), with 29 knockouts to his name. Meanwhile, his Ukranian rival is 24-2, with a much lower number of knockouts at 13. He has won three fights straight since the Jan. 7, 2023 loss to 'Boots.'
With a world title up for grabs and elevated status, he will do everything in his power to emerge victorious come fight night. Though to do so, he will have to overcome one of the most-avoided boxers at welterweight.
How did the first Jaron Ennis vs. Karen Chukhadzhian bout play out?
In early 2023, Jaron Ennis vs. Karen Chukhadzhian took place for the vacant IBF welterweight belt. In a widely-panned performance, 'Boots' won but spent the bulk of the fight swinging at empty air, while Chukhadzhian did his best to counter him on the backfoot. Ultimately, Ennis won via unanimous decision after 12 rounds.
