Jarred Brooks left Manila just as he said he would, the ONE strawweight world champion. ‘The Monkey God’ delivered a spectacular performance at ONE 164 on Saturday, besting former world champion Joshua Pacio to capture his first ONE gold.
Following the incredible victory, Jarred Brooks shared his appreciation for the men and women who helped him achieve his dream on Instagram, saying:
“I could say that I did this by myself but this would be a lie.. every person working with me since I was a kid and believed in me I truly appreciate you this is an individual sport , but nothing without a team and a support system behind you . Jarred Brooks called for a champion vs. champion showdown between the two during his post-fight interview with Mitch Chilson. Before that fight can happen, Johnson will first have to handle the recently announced trilogy bout with Adriano Moraes at ONE on Prime Video 10 in spring 2023.
