Newly crowned ONE strawweight world champion ‘The Monkey God’ Jarred Brooks believes ONE Championship is the best combat sports organization in the world today.
Speaking with the promotion about ONE’s long-awaited debut in the United States on May 5, Brooks revealed that he hopes to be part of the festivities. He also shared his thoughts on why ONE Championship is the best place for fighters to compete:
“Yeah, hopefully, I can be on there and I will keep the Demetrious story up a little bit more as well. But I think that the game with ONE, the reason why I think that ONE is one of the best organizations in the world is how they treat their fighters, super big as a fighter because your fighter wants to feel comfortable.”
Jarred Brooks continued, saying:

“The fighter wants to feel like he's about to go out and sacrifice something. They greet us, they treat us, they make sure that we are completely happy for the whole week. They're sending people up to our rooms every 10 minutes, checking on us like, ‘Hey, are you good? Everything's good? Weight's good?’ Stuff like that. So that's huge to me."
“They make sure that fighters are healthy. They have their own medical examiners, they have their own teams that go through things. And the production team just speaks for itself when you watch a ONE event.”
Jarred Brooks believes ONE Championship could become the No. 1 organization in the United States
ONE Championship’s partnership with Amazon Prime Video which kicked off in August with ONE on Prime Video 1 was the first step in the promotion’s expansion into North America. This spring, ONE will take the next big leap, bringing the stars of ONE Championship and their spectacular production to the 1stBank Center in Colorado.
Jarred Brooks believes that could very well just be the tip of the iceberg for ONE Championship as they establish a stronger foothold on the North American market. In fact, ‘The Monkey God’ believes ONE could very well become the No. 1 combat sports organization in the United States over time:
“If you look at it from an American [standpoint], how many people are tuning into ESPN+, compared to how many people actually have Prime Video? You have some American stars and star power put onto that, then that can overtake the UFC very easily.”
