Jarred Brooks doesn't only plan on taking interim gold, he aims to establish a hierarchy in the strawweight MMA division. The former divisional king will face number three-ranked contender Gustavo Balart for the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title in the main event of ONE Fight Night 24 on August 2 at the historic Lumpinee Stadium.
Ahead of another high-profile match, Brooks took to Instagram and expressed his intention to reclaim the throne he once sat on and show Balart the gap between them.
Jarred Brooks wrote:

"America represents 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸, time to put him back in his place, third-best in the division not first. I'm going to make him remember that I really am the true champion, no BS, no trash talk. Just fisticuffs. Time to start the road to get my s*** back @onechampionship"
Brooks is a former ONE strawweight MMA world champion and has been nearly flawless in his ONE Championship run.
'The Monkey God' started his MMA tenure on a perfect 4-0 slate, and only lost in his world title defense when he got disqualified after inadvertently spiking Joshua Pacio's head at ONE 166.
Nevertheless, the American star has another chance at ONE Championship gold when he faces Balart in Bangkok.
ONE Fight Night 24, just like all of ONE Championship's Amazon cards, is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
Jarred Brooks says it's "all or nothing" in his interim world title match against Gustavo Balart
Jarred Brooks always fights at the highest speed possible and it even translates to his psyche.
In an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Brooks said he'll stop at nothing to secure the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title when he faces Gustavo Balart next month.
"For me, this fight is special because it's my chance to show my growing arsenal, my evolved skill set, and, like I said, the newer version of 'The Monkey God.' So yeah, it's all or nothing on my end, bro."
