Jarred Brooks has been one of the most successful fighters inside the circle over the last 12 months. Since signing with ONE Championship in 2021, ‘The Monkey God’ has produced three wins to find himself as the number one contender in the strawweight division.
At ONE 164 on December 3, Brooks will finally get his shot at the world championship when he takes on dominant champion Joshua Pacio. They were originally scheduled to clash in June but Brooks was forced to pull out of the fight due to an injury.
Having a top contender from the US like Jarred Brooks compete in these events, especially with ONE Championship now available on Prime Video, is a win-win situation for both ONE Championship and the fans who are tuning in from this part of the world.
In an interview with Unwrapped Sports, Brooks spoke about the significance of ONE on Prime Video:

“The Amazon deal is huge, it’s just the beginning. In America, as far as the American broadcasters and the American fans, they’re gonna start to incorporate more into the ONE Championship style because you’re seeing all forms of martial arts.”
While Brooks vs. Pacio isn’t on the Prime Video card, fans should still tune in to ONE 164 through other channels.

“It’s like a family” - Jarred Brooks feels right at home with ONE Championship
Jarred Brooks has found a new home in ONE Championship. Since joining the promotion in 2021, Brooks has hit the ground running and has become one of the top fighters on the roster.
'The Monkey God' has produced impressive wins in his first three fights inside the circle, including formerly ranked Lito ‘Thunder Kid’ Adiwang, and top fighters Hiroba Minowa and Bokang ‘Little Giant’ Masunyane. With his current win streak, Brooks now finds himself challenging for the strawweight world championship.
On top of his performances, which speak for themselves, the former collegiate wrestling standout most importantly feels welcome in his new promotion. Though he’s competing a long way from where he grew up in Warsaw, Indiana, Brooks feels like part of the ONE Championship family.
In a recent appearance on a podcast with Unwrapped Sports, Jarred Brooks talked about his experience dealing with ONE Championship up to this point, in comparison to the UFC:
“I’ll say first the one that I like better is ONE Championship because they treat us very well over there, it’s like a family when you’re being introduced to the production crew. They’re taking you everywhere, making sure you’re having fun in the process of doing all these interviews, all this structured stuff before the fight.”
