Jarred Brooks says Mansur Malachiev doesn't deserve the chance to call him out with "those razor-thin decisions"

Jarred Brooks doesn't quite approve of the idea of Mansur Malachiev calling him out following his win over Bokang Masunyane at ONE Fight Night 25.

Malachiev turned his attention to the Mash Fight Team star immediately after his win earlier this month, calling Brooks "a talker and not really a doer."

More back-and-forth talk between the pair unfolded on social media, and 'The Monkey God' — in true fashion — isn't backing down one bit.

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda MMA, Jarred Brooks took another dig at Malachiev, saying that the Dagestani standout doesn't have the right to call him out having barely scraped into the winner's column in his past two outings:

"The only difference between me and him when we win is when I'm done with fights I have a right to talk how I want to. He does not - with those razor thin decisions."

Mansur Malachiev-Jarred Brooks seems like a fight in the offing

Given Jarred Brooks and Malachiev's form, it is likely that the pair could meet at a crossroads to settle their feud over the next few months.

'The Monkey God' got his year off to a sour note after suffering a disqualification loss and surrendering his ONE strawweight MMA world title to Joshua Pacio at ONE 166: Qatar in March.

However, he turned things around in some fashion to claim the interim crown at the expense of Gustavo Balart.

On the other hand, Malachiev has registered two successive victories over Yosuke Saruta and Masunyane after going down to the Filipino divisional king last year.

Another reason why this fight could take place soon is due to ONE strawweight MMA world champion Joshua Pacio's time away from competition. The divisional king is recuperating from an ACL injury and is likely to return next year.

As such, if the promotion want to keep the action going at the top, Jarred Brooks vs. Mansur Malachiev is the fight to make. Besides, it'll give either man a good chance to get more experience and prep themselves when Pacio returns to unify the gold.
