Interim ONE strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks has vowed to have a more potent campaign from his end in 2025. He made this known in a recent post on social media.
'The Monkey God' recently took to Instagram to share his intentions and plans for next year following a packed season for him in ONE Championship, highlighting how he has a clearer perspective of what he needs to do.
"No one is safe moving forward, I know what I need to work on."

Brooks saw himself lose the ONE starwweight MMA world title to Filipino rival Joshua Pacio by disqualification (illegal spike) in their title rematch in March in Qatar. He, however, bounced back in his next fight in August, coming up with an opening-round submission win over Cuban Gustavo Balart to claim the interim strawweight belt.
Then earlier this month, the American fighter made his flyweight debut against Reece McLaren of Australia and made a good account of himself despite losing by decision. He said fans have not seen the last of him in flyweight and vowed to make an explosive comeback.
Jarred Brooks seeks to return as strawweight king in trilogy title fight with Joshua Pacio
Jarred Brooks is out to kick off his 2025 campaign on a high by returning as the strawweight MMA king in his trilogy and unification fight with reigning divisional top dog Joshua Pacio.
The interim ONE strawweight world champion will try to unify the division's belts in his clash with 'The Passion' at ONE 171: Qatar on Feb. 20, 2025, at the Lusail Sports Arena in Lusail. The two return to the venue where the American lost the strawweight gold to Pacio last March by disqualification after he executed an illegal spike.
ONE 171 will mark the return to action of Pacio, who had to undergo surgery for the knee injury that he sustained even before he took on Brooks in their rematch.
The two have had a spirited rivalry since battling for the first time in December 2022 in Manila where Brooks dethroned Pacio as world champion by decision.
ONE 171: Qatar will be aired live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
