Former ONE strawweight MMA world champion and current first-ranked divisional contender 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks of the United States was super impressed with heavyweight Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane's performance against legendary BJJ fighter Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida.
Kane dominated 'Buchecha' at ONE Fight Night 13 in August of 2023, shocking the world to win by unanimous decision against a rising star in MMA.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Brooks talked about 'Reug Reug's' victory over the BJJ legend.

'The Monkey God' said:
"Yeah, I gave 'Reug Reug' a lot of my powers before he went into the fight with Buchecha because me and him grappled before then. And once you feel my strength and you get my energy, we exchange energy. Man, I'm telling you, he went in there a different fighter against Buchecha and... I'm just f****** around, 'Reug Reug.'"
Brooks added:
"But yeah, that fight surprised me too, because Buchecha is Buchecha and you're just like, oh, well, Buchecha is on top now, full mount, this isn't going to be good. And then 'Reug Reug' just literally stands up and you're like, ohh that's 'Reug Reug' then."
Brooks will be watching when 'Reug Reug' heads back to action at ONE 169: Atlanta in November. But in the meantime, 'The Monkey God' has some business to take care of.
