Jarred Brooks wants the smoke, volunteers as replacement for ONE Fight Night 10 headliner

As ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video draws closer, Jarred Brooks has thrown his hat in the ring as a back-up for the main event.

At ONE Championship’s debut live event in the United States, Demetrious Johnson will defend his ONE flyweight world championship against Adriano Moraes in their highly anticipated trilogy fight.

Live from the sold-out 1stBank Center in Colorado on May 5, it’s one of the biggest main events ever hosted under the ONE Championship banner, and Brooks wants a piece of the action if either fighter doesn’t make it to fight night.

The reigning ONE strawweight world champion has never been one to keep quiet about what he wants and has called his shots since arriving in ONE Championship.

‘The Monkey God’ has backed it up inside the circle as well, producing a run of four consecutive wins since debuting in November 2021.

Jarred Brooks has spoken in the past about wanting to face Demetrious Johnson before the Hall of famer calls time on his legendary career.

With that in mind, he recently posted this announcement on Twitter:

“I’m going to Denver May 5th and if DJ or Moraes can’t fight, I would like to replace either one.”

Whilst the card already features another flyweight match-up between top five contenders Reece McLaren and Kairat Akhmetov, with either fighter having the potential to step into the main event if called upon, Brooks has made it clear that he wants the shot and he is coming to the event for that exact reason.

ONE Fight Night 10 will be live and free via Prime Video for North American viewers.
