Prior to that, Jenelyn Olsim also outpointed Bi Nguyen and finished Maira Mazar with a guillotine choke. However, her next challenge won’t be easy. Her Chinese foe, Meng Bo, came out of the gates hot after winning her first three fights inside the Circle.
The Tiger Wang gym product will look to bounce back in a big way after two straight setbacks against Ritu Phogat and Tiffany Teo.
Olsim, meanwhile, knows that the women's strawweight division is a wide open race, especially with two-time world title challenger Teo moving down to atomweight. A win would certainly be a huge boost in their quest to challenge the dominant reign of Xiong Jing Nan in the ONE women's strawweight division.
The returning Geje Eustaquio, other Team Lakay members, join Jenelyn Olsim in Manila card
On December 3, all eyes will be on Joshua Pacio as he tries to protect his strawweight throne against possibly his stiffest challenge yet in Jarred Brooks. The Filipino crowd will no doubt be in for a treat, as several members of their favorite Team Lakay round out the main card.
ONE 162 also marks the return of former ONE flyweight world champion Geje Eustaquio and former flyweight world title challenger Danny Kingad. ‘Gravity’ is set to lock horns with promising Chinese star Hu Yong, while ‘The King’ will trade leather against the surging Gurdarshan Mangat.
Aside from Olsim, another Team Lakay budding star is seeking to shake up the bantamweight picture. Jeremy ‘The Juggernaut’ Pacatiw will look to score his second win inside the Circle against the dangerous Tial Thang.
