Fabricio Andrade has not known defeat inside the circle. The hard-hitting Brazilian will look to keep it that way when he once again steps into the main event spotlight against former ONE world champion John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker on February 24.

The pair will meet once again to crown a new ONE bantamweight world champion at ONE Fight Night 7. The event takes place on February 24 in Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and streams on Amazon Prime in U.S. prime time for North American subscribers.

Ahead of the highly anticipated showdown, Team Lakay standout Jeremy Pactatiw shared his thoughts on Andrade’s skills inside the circle:

“Fabricio has this unorthodox style of leaning back with his stance, that’s why it’s so hard to hit him... You really have to set up your shots so that you can hit him. You have to set up one hit so that your second one connects. But yeah, he really has perfect timing with his knees, that’s what I see from him.”

Pacatiw is plenty familiar with the skills of ‘Wonder Boy’ having previously shared the circle with him. The two bantamweights went toe-to-toe a year ago at ONE: Full Circle. Andrade handed ‘The Juggernaut’ his first loss in ONE Championship, handing the Filipino a devastating first-round knockout.

Fabricio Andrade would go on to capture another highlight-reel knockout against Kwon Won Il just four months later to solidify his position as the No.1 ranked bantamweight contender.

Fabricio Andrade believes he stands above the rest in ONE Championship

Fabricio Andrade believes he is the best fighter in ONE Championship. Not just in the bantamweight division, but across every division. Across every sport. In an interview with ONE Championship, ‘Wonder Boy’ said:

“I believe the best MMA fighter in the ONE Championship right now is me. And the best striker too. Nobody did what I’ve been doing. Three first-round knockouts, making tough fights look easy."

He added:

“No one has done this so far in the ONE Championship, so it proves that I am on a different level than every other athlete. And not just in my division, but I’m on a different level if we look at all the divisions in the ONE Championship.”

With five straight wins inside the circle and four spectacular finishes, it would be hard to argue against Fabricio Andrade’s assessment of his own status. Add in the fact that he was seemingly seconds away from becoming a ONE world champion just four months ago and you would be hard-pressed to dispute such a bold claim.

‘Wonder Boy’ will have the chance to prove his point once again later this month in a massive main event rematch at ONE Fight Night 7.
