If there’s one thing that’s true of Fabricio Andrade, it’s that he’s been able to accomplish remarkably much in a very short amount of time.
On a tear ever since he made his debut with ONE Championship two and a half years ago, Andrade is already fighting in his second world title fight for ONE Championship despite his youth and only eleven professional fights.
His opponent in a few weeks, John Lineker, is a bit of a controlled wild man. Many elite fighters have fallen to Lineker’s power strikes and unearthly knockout power. However, when 25-year-old Andrade met the former world champion last October, he handled himself incredibly well.
One fighter that was also shocked by Fabricio Andrade’s composure against John Lineker was ONE bantamweight Jeremy Pacatiw. Speaking to media outlet The MMA Super Fan, Pacatiw said:

"Yeah, I was really impressed with how he received those shots. I also feel that Fabricio really prepared for it because that wild looping style is really Lineker’s way of fighting. That’s why I was really impressed with Andrade’s skills."

Jeremy Pacatiw is also a former foe of Fabricio Andrade, having felt his power and finishing ability. While awaiting his own booking for his next fight, he’ll no doubt be watching the Andrade-Lineker rematch with interest, likely imagining himself fighting the winner for the belt someday.
With five months to go to get back and prepare, Fabricio Andrade will arrive in Bangkok with a revised and sharpened attack plan for the revered veteran.
Danny Kingad sees knee of Fabricio Andrade as a double-edged sword in Lineker rematch
A teammate of Pacatiw, Danny Kingad, agrees that Andrade has the power to become the world champion against Lineker.
However, that confidence comes with a warning: beware of throwing the knee. Speaking to The MMA Super Fan, Kingad weighed in on the fight, saying:
"As for Fabricio Andrade, I think he really won that first fight but we all saw what happened. He needs to be careful with that knee in this rematch, because it does tend to stray a little low sometimes. Obviously, he has the power to end the fight early, but he needs to manage his distance and his timing."
That knee was both the strike that spelled the end for Kingad’s teammate Pacatiw, but also ended the fight prematurely against John Lineker. He'll have the chance to to pick his weapons precisely when he re-enters the arena against Lineker in less than three weeks, fighting him in the main event of ONE Fight Night 7.
The event takes place on February 24 in Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and streams on Amazon Prime in US prime time for North American subscribers.
