ONE bantamweight contender Jeremy Pacatiw believes the pressure is on for Demetrious Johnson to prove why he’s the greatest pound-for-pound flyweight in the world.
‘Mighty Mouse’ Demetrious Johnson will put his ONE flyweight world title on the line for the first time against ‘Mikinho’ Adriano Moraes in a trilogy showdown at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5. The highly-anticipated US card will take place at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.
The card is the first on-site event for ONE Championship in the United States, meaning Johnson will be under a lot of scrutiny when he returns to the US stage after fighting in Asia in 2019.
According to Jeremy Pacatiw, the pressure on Johnson has doubled heading into his first world title defense.

He explained his reasoning to The MMA Superfan by saying:
“I think this won’t be anything new for DJ because he’s already fought in the US. I think there will be a bit of pressure because that’s his home country and he’s the defending world champion. I think that he really has to show that he’s the best flyweight in the world.”
Demetrious Johnson, who holds the UFC record for most consecutive world title defenses at 11, is 1-1 in his head-to-head with Moraes, with both of their wins coming off spectacular knockouts.
Moraes was the first to win with a knee strike finish at ONE on TNT I, but Johnson avenged his defeat a year later at ONE on Prime Video 1 with a flying knee of his own in the fourth round to etch himself in the ONE history books.
Desperate to end the chapter between himself and Moraes, Johnson is looking forward to getting this win in the bag and cementing his legacy as ONE Championship’s most dominant flyweight in promotional history and quite possibly the best in all of MMA.
North American fans can watch the entire ONE Fight Night 10 card on May 5 live and for free, on US prime time, with an Amazon Prime subscription.
