After Jessica-Rose Clark suffered a devastating submission defeat at UFC 276, the Australian was left with a broken arm due to Julija Stoliarenko's armbar. Upon returning from the hospital, Clark updated her fanbase on social media on her injury and accused her opponent of foul play.
'Heartbreak Girl' criticized how long Stoliarenko held the armbar submission even after Clark had tapped:
"Just got back from the hospital, I am probably going to need surgery on my elbow. She [Stoliarenko] did a really good job of continuing to armbar me after I tapped. I cried the entire time I was at the hospital, but I'm feeling alright."

Despite losing her UFC 276 outing, Clark managed to keep her promise to Ariel Helwani and walked out to Shawn Michaels' 'Sexy Boy' WWE theme song. The wrestling legend saw the UFC fighter's entrance and spoke to Helwani about the walkout on The MMA Hour:
"I watched it and it’s like, 'Oh my goodness,' she comes out and then, of course, just like ‘HBK’, she gets tapped out. But it was still awesome."
