Fighters have always given the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) grief over its invasive approach to drug testing, but Jiri Prochazka understands that it's all just part of being a UFC champion.
The recently crowned UFC light heavyweight titleholder is the most tested fighter on the roster, having done 27 procedures in 2022. The Czech fighter admitted that it gets annoying to have his sleep schedule constantly interrupted by USADA agents.
However, Jiri Prochazka said that he understands that the tests are merely part of his life as a top UFC fighter. With that in mind, he claims that it's a price he's willing to pay. During a UFC 282 media event, 'Denisa' chimed in on his status as the most tested fighter in the UFC:
"They're coming daily and sometimes it's boring, sometimes I'm tired from that. I'm waking up at 5 [in the] morning and I'm thinking they will come, they will come today. But if it's the price to be the champion, I will pay that."

USADA has been overseeing the UFC's anti-doping program since 2015. As part of the program, fighters are subjected to random checks, with agents popping up to collect urine and/or blood samples at odd times.
UFC middleweight contender Paulo Costa has recently been vocal about his disdain for the testing method. Costa complained that the agents paid him a visit just hours before he was set to weigh in for his UFC 278 fight against Luke Rockhold.
Dana White has since apologized to Costa, but the Brazilian continued to lash out at the organization. He accused his employer of using USADA to annoy him as his current contract is set to expire.
Jiri Prochazka shuts down idea of Israel Adesanya super fight
Israel Adesanya claimed that he's open to climbing back up to the light heavyweight division in his quest to secure a second UFC belt.
However, Jiri Prochazka doesn't seem too keen on the idea. Speaking about a potential showdown against 'The Last Stylender', Prochazka said:
"I’m not interested in this fight, because we share management and the people around. I respect him."
Back in 2020, Adesanya attempted to become a two-division champion by challenging then-champion Jan Blachowicz for the title. However, the Nigerian-born Kiwi struggled against the Pole, who handed him the first loss of his pro MMA career.
Adesanya is set to defend his middleweight crown against Alex Pereira in this weekend's UFC 281 event. In December, Prochazka will defend his own belt against Glover Teixeira in a rematch.
