Jiri Prochazka will be entering his UFC 311 main event clash with Jamahal Hill full of confidence. The former champion suffered a brutal knockout loss to Alex Pereira at UFC 303 in 2024, his previous bout, marking his second KO defeat to the Brazilian. Prochazka, known for his unorthodox striking skills, revisited his technique ahead of his return and appeared satisfied with the changes made.
During a recent episode of the UFC's Embedded Series for UFC 311, 'Denisa' shared a confident preview of what fans can expect from him when he enters the octagon against another former champion in Hill.
He said this:
"I'm fighting Jamahal Hill. This is the opponent who I feel right now is right for me, and I'm ready for that. I think it's a good matchup, where are both stand-up guys. I like pressure, Jamahal's style is relaxed. He has a few dangerous things that I have to be ready for, and I am. But I see the space. I see the timing, the movement, when I will catch him."

Both Hill and Prochazka suffered knockout losses to 'Poatan' in their previous bouts. But with the light heavyweight landscape offering few fresh contenders for the Brazilian to face outside of Magomed Ankalaev, a strong UFC 311 performance for either fighter could see them thrust into a title opportunity.
Jiri Prochazka believes a title shot could be next if he beats Jamahal Hill
UFC 311 will feature an exciting light heavyweight matchup between Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill. Whilst Magomed Ankalaev is expected to face Alex Pereira for the light heavyweight title next, Prochazka is confident that a victory over 'Sweet Dreams' could see him face the winner of Pereira vs. Ankalaev.
'Denisa' was interviewed by former UFC fighter Din Thomas for SiriusXM ahead of his clash with Hill on Jan. 18 in Los Angeles. Thomas asked Prochazka if a win at UFC 311 would be enough for a title fight against 'Poatan', and the former champion said this:
"You can not believe me right now, but I have to say that I believe. I believe I have made a change in myself so necessary, a big change, that right now my style and myself, I am prepared for the title again. Against whoever. Against Ankalaev, against Pereira."
