Jiri Prochazka is confident about getting a potential title shot against Alex Pereira or Magomed Ankalaev following his win over Jamahal Hill at UFC 311. Prochazka claimed that he has made the necessary improvements to his fighting style to reclaim his title.

Prochazka is scheduled to face Hill in a light heavyweight contest on the main card of UFC 311, which takes place this weekend at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

In an interview with MMA on SiriusXM, the 32-year-old responded to the question of whether he would be given a title shot against Pereira after defeating the American.

''You don't believe me right now but I believe. I believe that I made a change in myself. Necessary big change that right now my style and myself, I'm prepared for the title, against whoever. Against Ankalaev, against Pereira.''

Prochazka has a history with Pereira, having submitted the reigning champion's mentor and close friend Glover Teixeira in the final round at UFC 275 to become the champion.

However, the Czech fighter relinquished his title in 2022 due to a shoulder injury and returned to reclaim it at UFC 295 against 'Poatan' in 2023. Unfortunately, he lost by knockout in the second round. Prochazka suffered the same fate in their rematch at UFC 303 last year. Pereira landed a stunning head kick in the second round, knocking the former champion to the canvas.

Meanwhile, Hill will also look to get back in title contention with a potential win. In his recent octagon appearance at UFC 300, 'Sweet Dreams' was knocked out by Pereira in the opening round.

Jiri Prochazka is ready to prove his critics wrong

After witnessing Jiri Prochazka's two fights against Alex Pereira, many in the MMA community condemned him for his traditional training methods, alleging that they led to his recent failures inside the octagon.

However, in a recent interview with MMA Junkie ahead of UFC 311, Prochazka stated that he will defeat Pereira in a trilogy bout to reclaim his title.

''The thing is, I mean this really seriously… I believe that I’ve made improvements in my style, in my life, in everything that I can face Alex Pereira for a third time. Sorry, I believe in that, I really believe that I can be the champion and I’m going for that, to be a champion again, no more words.''
