Jiri Prochazka seemed to be respectful of Khalil Rountree in a certain regard but yet somewhat dismissive during a recent comment about the former UFC title challenger. Speaking to BlessedMMA on the platform Kick, Prochazka was touching on several subjects following his big win over the weekend.
Jiri Prochazka secured a third-round finish by way of strikes over a fellow former UFC light heavyweight champion in Jamahal Hill on the main card of UFC 311 on Jan. 18. This vaulted Prochazka up to the number two spot in the rankings while Hill dropped a spot to now be positioned as the number four contender at light heavyweight.
The only person currently above Prochazka is Magomed Ankalaev who will be next to challenge for divisional kingpin Alex Pereira's belt at UFC 313 on Mar. 8. When addressing possible options for what could be next and with Rountree being the most recent person to vie for 205 pound gold inside of the octagon, Prochazka said:
"Khalil Rountree is a great warrior. That would be a great fight. But I don't see him as a true challenge."

Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill's post-UFC 311 interaction
Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill threw down in quite the exciting fight over the weekend with the pair of warriors enjoying a drink together once the dust settled.
The 32-year-old was seen with Hill inside of a bar in a clip that was posted to Instagram by the latter following their fight. The two warriors were seen exchanging pleasantries with one another as they chatted, clinked glasses, and then had simultaneous sips of their respective beverages.
'BJP' engaging with Hill at this moment caught the attention of many fans with 'Sweet Dreams' showing a lot of respect for his victorious opponent in the caption of the IG post. Jamahal Hill spoke highly of Prochazka's adjustments inside of the cage, that he gave him a "hell of a fight", and that he was honored as well as blessed to get to fight the elite of the elite in this sport.
The Czech Republic native now enters back into the win column following his second loss to Alex Pereira at UFC 303. For Hill, he must now rebound from back-to-back defeats to Prochazka and to the aforementioned Pereira at UFC 300.
