Joe Joyce recently expressed his thoughts on his 12-round boxing match against Derek Chisora. Joyce appeared confident as he shared his prediction for the fight.
Heavyweights Joyce and Chisora are set to headline a fight card at the O2 Arena on July 27. It won't be a title fight, but it will be a major event in the boxing world. Despite preceding UFC 304 in Manchester, the London event is anticipated to attract a sizable audience because both fighters are UK residents.
Both veterans would be looking to build on their recent wins. Chisora defeated Gerald Washington via unanimous decision in August of last year, and Joyce stopped Kash Ali in the final round of their clash in March.

Joyce recently gave an interview to Boxnation in which he expressed his irritation at having to watch other boxers advance as he faces the 40-year-old Chisora.
As such, he feels he needs to defeat Chisora and move quickly to take on one of the top ten heavyweights in order to position himself to challenge for the world title.
''Derek always brings it and gives his best. I know he’ll be coming for me, working on them shots, but I’ve been working on some things too.''
The 38-year-old shared his prediction, saying:
''I believe I’ll stop him. I’m not sure when because he’s got a tough character. He’ll probably weather the storm for a bit, and then I’ll take him out whenever I see the opportunity.” [H/t: Boxing News 24]
Joyce (16-2), an Olympic silver medalist, aims to regain his winning streak after losing to 'Big Bang' Zhilei Zhang twice before winning via knockout in Birmingham in March. Meanwhile, Chisora's (34-13) victory over Washington followed a knockout loss to Tyson Fury in December 2022.
Joe Joyce issues a stern warning to Derek Chisora ahead of their boxing clash
Joe Joyce's hopes of winning a world title would be entirely crushed with a third defeat, while Derek Chisora's 14th career loss will only raise demands for his retirement.
In the aforementioned interview, Joyce gave a strong warning to Chisora while expressing his thoughts on the upcoming fight.
''I’m the Juggernaut, so he’s going to find out why he’s been avoiding me...I’m here to stop him in his tracks. I’m still a threat. I’m still alive, and I still feel like I’m in my prime. I got plenty more to give the sport. I got in late.''
