Martinez made his UFC debut during The Ultimate Fighter 16 finale in Dec. 2012, where he stepped in Bruce Buffer for the first time. Although Martinez had been a permanent fixture for Fight Night cards, his first PPV appearance came when the Buffer contracted COVID-19 and couldn't perform at UFC 267 in Abu Dhabi. Since then, the former pro-baseball announcer hasn't looked behind and has been a mainstay in the UFC.
