Media royalty Joe Rogan had Hollywood icon Adam Sandler over at his ultra-popular podcast, Joe Rogan Experience. Being both of stand-up comedy roots, long-time friends and contemporaries Rogan and Sandler spoke about a myriad of things - from Sandler's irreverent comedy films to the state of movies today.

Perhaps one of Sandler's most irreverent yet hilariously beloved comedy movies was 2008's 'You Don't Mess wit the Zohan'. The film, about an Israeli super soldier who changed careers as a hairstylist, had some cheeky humor that might not fly very well in the politically correct viewing public today.

Rogan and Sandler hilariously discussed the possibility of a Zohan remake today in the podcast:

Rogan said:

"I watched [the Zohan] twenty times. I f**king loved that movie. Such a funny movie. Why didn't you ever do a second one?"

Rogan added:

"It's a no brainer. [But] it's a tough sell now (laughs)."

Sander replied:

"We had to put that put that one on the shelf a bunch of times when were about to do it coz sh*t would go on. We would be like, 'maybe it's a tough time to do it right now'"

Speaking further into the matter, Sandler also cited the difficulty of having to go back to Zohan shape as another obstacle in producing a sequel. The Hollywood actor famously got into tremendous physical shape for the role, making it convincing that he is an Israeli counter-terrorist agent.

Rogan suggested that he get a trainer but Sandler countered with (via Joe Rogan Experience):

"I know but I can't stick with it, Buddy. You are doing great. How the f**k are you eating so good and and hitting it so hard. [laughs]oYou know what, I used to f**king take working out so serious when I was in, maybe up to like 25, 26. But now I can't f**king do it."

Rogan then gave some sound advice to his fellow 57-year-old comedian:

"You have to stay on the horse. You can't back off at all. Especially as you get older. You back off at all you just start [touches fat area of his body] 'what is this?' You start feeling this thing."

Further into the conversation, the podcast host gave more advice, saying:

"The whole thing is just not overdoing it in the beginning, Starting slow where it's maintainable. And then slowly build up. That's the key."
